Fernando's story
Fernando is 59 years old, married, and has a daughter. He lives with his family in the community of San Isidro, La Esperanza, Intibucá. He also belongs to the Lenca ethnic group.
For 39 years, he has worked in agriculture. He maintains a crop of good quality coffee. He has this on farmland in the zone and sells his harvests in his community's market and to order.
Fernando is asking for his sixth loan from ODEF, for the amount of 12,000 lempiras, to invest in the purchase of supplies, lime, chicken manure, and sacks of fertilizers to work the land. He will also purchase coffee seeds to increase his crop. His dream is to improve his quality of life and pay his daughter's educational expenses.
