Sotika’s Story
Sotika is a hard-working 37-year-old from Darjeeling in West Bengal. She stays with her husband and daughter. Her husband cultivates corn, paddy, pineapple, brinjal, and cabbage on his farmland and gets a meager income from selling them in the local markets. Their incomes are insufficient to provide financial security and prosperity for them in the future.
